Dr Aws Salih is a Provisional Pain Medicine Fellow and Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist committed to helping patients with musculoskeletal and pain conditions regain function and quality of life. He takes a holistic approach to care, focusing on the whole person rather than isolated symptoms.

Dr Salih trained in Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Medicine in Iraq before moving to Australia in 2013 to advance his expertise. He completed specialist training in Rehabilitation Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2023 and is finalising his Pain Medicine Fellowship through the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA. His clinical training spans leading centres, including Royal Hobart Hospital, Austin Health, Monash Health, and the Melbourne Pain Group.

Dr Salih has been a Chronic Pain Visiting Medical Officer at Eastern Health since 2023 and a staff specialist in Spinal Rehabilitation Medicine at the Victorian Spinal Cord Service since 2024, providing care across Victoria and Tasmania. He also consults privately in St Albans, North Melbourne, and Glen Waverley, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.

His clinical interests include central neuropathic pain following spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury, and multiple sclerosis, as well as musculoskeletal and widespread body pain syndromes such as spinal axial pain, shoulder, hip, knee pain, and fibromyalgia.
