Arif completed his education at The University of Melbourne, earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Doctor of Physiotherapy. He currently practices at Advance Healthcare, a multidisciplinary pain clinic, where he is committed to providing evidence-based treatments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
In addition to his focus on chronic pain, Arif has special interests in vestibular disorders (dizziness) and occupational health, with a particular emphasis on helping patients return to work and, more importantly, life. He is dedicated to delivering honest and personalised care through attentive listening and thorough assessment.
Arif also provides supervised hydrotherapy sessions at Aquanation Ringwood, utilising the benefits of water-based exercises to aid in rehabilitation and improve patients' functional capacity.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Arif has additional training in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy, and attended APA pain level 1 and 2 courses. He is also a committee member of the APA VIC branch pain special interest group, where he plays a role in coordinating professional development for fellow physiotherapists interested in helping patients with complex pain conditions.
Arif is fluent in both Mandarin and Malay.
