Karen is a forensic psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist with over ten years’ experience in clinical and forensic assessment and psychological intervention across a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatry, general medical and neurological wards, complex dual disability, forensic mental health settings and general private practice.

Karen is passionate about getting to the root cause of presenting difficulties and providing individualised evidence-based treatment to get the best results for her clients. She is particularly interested in understanding the interplay between chronic pain and trauma and the ways in which these impact client’s physical, cognitive and psychological functioning and recovery.

When working with clients, Karen uses a compassionate and client-centred approach to support clients dealing with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, cognitive impairment, chronic pain and trauma. Karen is trained in and utilises a range of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
